Stainless steel clad plate is a new type of energy saving and environmental protection material, which is based on carbon steel and stainless steel cladding through the most advanced hot rolling composite technology, to achieve the complete metallurgical combination of base and cladding.
The strength and mechanical properties of the material are ensured by the base layer, and the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and diamagnetism of the material are ensured by the composite layer.
The base material of stainless steel clad plate is the normal carbon steel, low alloy steel and container plate such as Q235B, Q345R, Q245R. The bridge steel, shipbuilding steel, weathering steel, pipeline steel and other special steel plates can also be the base metal.
The cladding materials can be used in any stainless steel such as 304, 316L, 1Cr13 and etc.
Stainless Steel Clad Plates Characteristics
Characteristics
As a new type of material, stainless steel clad plate fully realizes the complementary advantages of materials, which not only has the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, diamagnetism and decoration of composite material, but also has good weldability, formability, tensile ductility and thermal conductivity of the substrate.
The base material has stength toughness, usually carbon steel, container plate, low alloy plate, bridge plate, ship plate, weathering steel and so on.
The cladding material has corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc., usually stainless steel, titanium and titanium alloys, nickel and nickel-based alloys, etc.
Our company's hot-rolled stainless steel cladding plate process can produce a width of up to 4500mm and a length of 15000mm.
The cladding thickness is 0.5mm to 15mm for large-plate thickness stainless steel cladding plates.
The cladding thickness, base thickness and material can be freely combined according to user needs, further reducing the user's use cost.
Difference between hot rolled cladding and explosive cladding
Hot Rolled Cladding
The manufacturing method of hot-rolled cladding plate is to roll the steel at high temperature to form a multi-layer steel plate, and then perform deep cold stripping treatment.
Therefore, hot-rolled cladding plate is widely used in steel structure construction, shipbuilding, machinery and equipment manufacturing and other fields.

Explosive Cladding
Explosive cladding plates are made by stacking two different material plates together, then quickly impacting and compressing them under the impact of an explosion, so that the two materials deform and fit together, and merge into one clad plate when cooled.
This manufacturing method is often used to make wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, high-temperature composite materials.
Due to the large impact energy of the explosion, the cost of manufacturing clad plates is low.

Test Report
The stainless steel clad plate is implemented by the GB/T8165-2008, which stipulates that the combination rate is ≥95% (Ⅲ level), ≥98%(Ⅱ level) and 100% (Ⅰ level).
The interfacial shear strength of Class II and III products is 200Mpa, and Class I products are 210Mpa.
Through various testing, the shear strength of our stainless steel clad plate can reach more than 300Mpa, which is much higher than the national standard (210Mpa) and other manufacturers.
